LUSH - Rockstar Soap

Hey everyone, so today i have a review on the Rockstar soap from LUSH!

I've heard about this so much from different people, but it never really appealed to me as i am more of a shower gel kind of girl, but when i received this in a set from Christmas i finally had a excuse to try it. The scent is really nice and the scent stays on your skin for quite some time after which is always nice, but its not overpowering. Its adds a little moisture not a lot in my opinion, but it doesn't dry my skin, which a lot of products do.

What do you think of this product?

Review: Real Techniques - Expert Face Brush

Hey Everyone,

I know by know, you have all probably seen far to many reviews on the Real Techniques brushed, but these brushes are literally amazing. They are so soft and don't shed, since these make-up brushes are made by Samantha Chapman, who is if you didn't know is a beauty blogger, she obviously knows what brushes work best.

I have the expert face brush, which i use for foundation (and sometimes powder!) it apply's foundation perfectly and evenly, you can apply your foundation heavily or lightly depending on the coverage you want. The packaging is nothing amazing, it defiantly better than some packaging though. The handles of the brush are quite a good design, as they have a flat bottom so they stand, but when you want to put them in a pot, it is really not helpful.
I really want to try some more brushes from this line, as from the review i've read, they are all just as good.

Have you tried these brushes? Which ones do you recommend?

My 10 Beauty Tips!

Hey Everyone,
Today i thought i would share with some of my beauty tips!

1. Heat up your eyelash curler before using it, not so it burns you obviously but it helps curl your lashes easier and better and helps them keep their curl.

2. If you are out of makeup remover you can use body lotion to remove makeup, it even works well on mascara.

3. Wash your make up brushes regularly to remove any of the bacteria that is on the brush as if you use dirty brushes all the bacteria on the brush you will be putting it onto your face, which can cause spots. Also clean brushes apply makeup more evenly.

4. Always wear suncream, even if it is cloudy and raining outside the sun can still damage your skin. Even if you wear foundation or tinted moisturiser with SPF, its better than nothing.

5. Drink lots of water, i know you are probably sick and tired of hearing this tip but honestly it does work it makes your skin so much more healthy. Drinking lots of water can also really help your hair and nails be more healthy.

6. Use a nude or white eyeliner on your water line rather than a black eyeliner as a nude or white eyeliner helps brighten up your eyes and make them appear bigger, whereas a black eyeliner can sometimes make your eyes seem smaller.

7. Pat your concealer instead of rubbing it, this conceals things better and also if you apply concealer under your eyes, if you pat it in it can help prevent wrinkles around the eye area.

8. Don't pump your mascara what i mean by this is don't move the wand up and down in the tube really quickly as this get more air in the tube, causing the mascara to dry out quicker.

9. When buying a new foundation by yourself, don't test the shade on your hand as the skin on you hand is a different shade to your face. The best place to test foundation is on the jaw line.

10. If you run out of nail polish remover and your nails are all chipped and horrible the best way to remove it is to apply a top coat of clear nail polish and straight after you apply it, wipe it of with a cotton ball.

Do you have any beauty tips?

Makeup I Have Purchased Recently!

 Hey Everyone,

How are you today? So like many people in England, I am on Half Term Break and personally that's my excuse to go shopping and have some retail therapy. Personally i'm one of those people who browse through the racks pick up loads of things go to walk to the checkout and end up putting them all back. So i never really buy much, except for makeup. But after all that ramble i thought i would show you the four things i got.

The first things i got were from Superdrug. I've heard about these palettes so much and apparently they are very comparable to the Naked Palettes by Urban Decay. The palettes i got were MUA Heaven and Earth and MUA Undress Me Too. I was originally going to get Undressed but they didn't have it at my Superdrug.  These palettes were both £4, which i think is amazing deal since you get 12 eyeshadows that are really pigmented.

The next two things i got were the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze (which i believe is called Bad to the Bronze in America, which i don't understand why they have different names!).The Colour Tattoo costs £4.99 which is quite decent i think. The next thing i got is a Natural Collection Blush in Peach Melba which is meant to be comparable to Peachykeen by Mac, but its such a pretty everyday blush colour. If you haven't tried these blushes by Natural Collection you defiantly should they are one of the best blushes i have tried and they are so affordable at £1.99 each.  These two things i purchased were from Boots.

What makeup have you purchased recently?

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Perfume

Hey Everyone,
Today I have my thoughts on the Wonderstruck perfume created by Taylor Swift (with Olivier Gillotin of Givaudan).

I'd heard so much hype around this perfume and really wanted to try it. I believe it came out back in July for the UK, i received this for Christmas and have been in love ever since. I wouldn't say this has great lasting power like most Perfume's do but i love this scents. It's a fruity-floral, girly scent (it kinda reminds me of Britney Spears Fantasy!) The sent is described as....

Alluring the flawless beauty of freesia, apple blossom and raspberry spark a swirl of vibrancy and feminine allure.
Authentic the heart, a sweet surprise of blissful vanilla is embellished by airy, sun drenched honeysuckle and white hibiscus.
Engaging notes of golden amber and sandalwood are woven with a kiss of lush peach.
I can defiantly smell vanilla and to be honest vanilla is one of the only smells i can smell in a perfume and name it. I can't smell a perfume and say 'oh yes, this has scents of amber, pomegranate and cherry blossom!' and i don't know many people who can.
The bottle is amazing and so pretty, its purple holographic with a gold charms (Bird Cage, Dove and a spike ball? i don't even know what it is exactly!)
I can't wait till the new Taylor Swift Enchanted Perfume comes to the UK!

Have you tried or smelt this perfume? What do you think of it?

Wishlist #2

Hey everyone,
So i did one of these last month and i thought i would show you a few of the things on my Wishlist this month.

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

I've been wanting a new pair of Converse for ages, so I decided to include this in my wishlist, i decided that when/if i purchase them, i wanted to get black because i think they will go with most things and won't get as dirty as the white ones. I also want to try some more or the Real Techniques brushes as i have the Expert Face Brush and i love it so i really want to try more (instead of buying the Sigma Brush Set, which was in my last Wishlist). Benefit Highbeam and the Mac Lipstick (Brick-o-la) have been on my mental wishlist for ages, i think the Mac Lipstick is such a nice everyday colour. I think the jumper from Topshop would be perfect for spring!

What's on your wishlist? Also if you have tried any of these products, tell me what you think of them!

1 - I don't have a sense of rhythm or tune - this doesn't me from dancing or singing though, i just look like a freak when doing so.

LUSH - Popcorn Lip Scrub

Hey everyone, how was your Monday?! Today i have a review on the Popcorn Lip Scrub from LUSH!
'Be a blockbuster success and have them queuing for the squeal. Coconut Oil, sugar and a buttery, caramel taste!'

So for Christmas i got a LUSH set from my Grandparents and one of the tings inside was the Popcorn Lip Scrub, normally this product is £5.25 (don't quote me on that!) which i think is a little over priced for a pot of  sugar and a few other ingredients. I do like this product i use it in the morning before i apply any other lip products and it does help my lips be more smooth, but i don't see much if a long term difference. I don't think i will repurchase it, but i will use this one up! I don't really like the taste, even though i love popcorn, but i've heard a lot about the bubblegum one.

Have you tried this product, what do you think of it?

Thanks for reading!

What have you learnt today?

Long time, no see (well, i guess its talk not see!)
How is your day been? Mine has been quite good actually, even though i had a disastrous maths lesson. I thought i would just quickly write this post, because i felt in the writing mood, but i didn't feel like writing a beauty post, so i thought i would write about my week. Recently i have been trying to pick out one positive in my day and one thing i have learnt from my day. It makes days seem so much more positive and enjoyable. Well, the one thing i have learnt today is how little things, such as flicking a paperclip in the air and trying to catch, can amuse me and my best friend(Maddy) so much and keep us entertained for so long, in the boredom which is maths. I know this is such a pointless post, but i hope you enjoyed.

What have you learnt today?

Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick #19

Hey everyone,

(Sorry for the crapola picture, i forgot to take a picture before it started to turn dark.)
I've heard so much about these lipsticks and the matte versions (which i really want to try!). I purchased mine quite a long time ago now, probably last summer and i wear it nearly everyday, it is one of the 'my lips shade but better' lipsticks. It is perfect when i don't want anything too dramatic and just a little colour, i wear this quite a lot for school as we aren't aloud to wear makeup, so its not to noticeable but still adds nice colour. I find the scent of this lipstick nice, and it isn't that strong which i like. I wouldn't say these are that moisturising, but they don't take moisture out of my lips (if that makes sense?!). I defiantly recommend these lipsticks and want to try more.

Have you tried these lipsticks? What do you think of them?

Thanks for reading!

Review: LUSH - Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

Hey everyone, so today i have a review on the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar from LUSH.

First of all, lets just look at this product it is lime green and baby pink, how cool is that?! To my dismay it no longer looks this pretty, but me being clever pictured it before i destroyed its beauty. This is a Bubble Bar so the hint is in the name! To be honest the thing i like about the product the most is crumbling it under the water, i don't know why it just felt to satisfying. The scent is really nice and the only way to describe this is imagine you have a mountain of candy (get it?!) in front of you! It smell like vanilla, candyfloss and just lots of sugar. I think it is quite moisturising  but i found it to leave a bit of residue on my skin, but that might just be me. Overall i think this is a good product but its a shame i'm going to have wait all year to repurchase it.

Have you tried any of the bubble bars?

Best of 2012 TAG!

Hi everyone,
I know i wasn't tagged directly, but i've seen a lot of people do this on Youtube and on here and i saw Olivia (And She Said Wonderland) do it, and i thought i would! I believe this TAG was originally created by Macbarbie07 I know mine is quite late, but its still January so hopefully it is still acceptable. Anyway, onto the questions....

BEAUTY:
1. Face Product: Rimmel Wake Me Up, i bought this due to how much everyone else raved about it and they're totally right. Is defiantly worth trying!
2. Cheek Product: Barry M blusher in Raspberry, in the pan it looks very scary and hot pink, but when you apply it to your cheeks it just give a nice flushed look. It took me ages to find this and i used it for most of 2012.
3. Eye Product: MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study
I use this as a base as i used mostly neutral shades, i think it is perfect.
4. Lip Product: Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie, as you probably know revlon lip butter were all American beauty youtubers spoke about earlier in the year, and as i live in the Uk, i had to wait patiently to get my hands on them and try them, but when i did i instantly fell in love and it was worth the wait. Berry Smoothie is my favourite shade out of the one i have tried.
5. Skincare Product: Clean&Clear Morning Burst Face Wash
I've used this all year long and repurchased 2-3 times, i love it just because it wakes me up in the morning and makes my skin feel refreshed.
6. Nail Polish: OPI Strawberry Margarita
I have worn this nail polish all year round and find myself always going back to it. Its a perfect pink colour, its a medium pink but i love it.
7. Hair Product: Tresemme Straightening Spray
I use this when my hair is damp and it helps it not be so frizzy after i straighten. If i dont use it it, i can defiantly tell the different than if i did.
This is one of the best i've used, as i straighten my hair quite a bit, this has really helped my hair a lot.
8. Body Product/Perfume: Soap&Glory Body Butter
This is really moisturising, its quite thick but absorbs into the skin really quick and smells amazing.
FASHION:
9. Clothing Piece: Topshop Heavy Weight Leggings
So i know wearing leggings alone is not socially ok, but these are so thick and comfy that i think its ok to wear out in public.
10. Accessory: Rings
I can't pick just one, but i have been wearing rings all year and loving them.
11. Pair Of Shoes: Black Boots
I love these, they are so comfy and match quite a lot, but i really like them and have had them for quite a while.

RANDOM

12. Favourite TV Show/Movie: This year i have really been loving Gossip Girl and LOST.
13. Favourite book: My favourite books were 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' series by Jenny Han
14. Food: Wotzits and Salad Cream, don't judge it until you have tried it!
15. Beverage: Peppermint Hot Chocolate
16. Favorite song: Under The Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers or Lightning by Alex Goot.
